What customers say?

“ I’ve been coming to Chopsticks Koenji for a while now, and it has truly become one of my favorite spots in the city. As someone who doesn’t eat beef or pork, finding great options can sometimes be tricky, but their chicken pho is absolutely amazing. I’ve tried it many times, and it’s consistently delicious – a comforting, flavorful bowl of goodness that I can always count on. The first time I visited, my partner introduced me to this place, and I was hooked from the very first bite. Since then, it’s become a regular spot for me. The staff here are incredible – always welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind. They go out of their way to make every visit enjoyable. Highly recommended! ”

“ Vietnamese street food in Koenji! Do NOT be deterred by the back alley market that hosts this unassuming, flavorful, and reasonably priced Vietnamese -- a must-visit in Koenji. The pho here is fantastic, and the banh mis are also super solid. They've got a nice weekend and holiday lunch set with your choice of pho with a half chicken rice that is very nicely done. Full disclosure -- this joint is my hangover cure of choice. ”

“ Authentic Vietnamese food in Tokyo! Buried off the main street inside a small food court. You'd probably miss it if you weren't looking for it. Not only is the food good but the value is as well. Most people get the pho. I like to get bun (dry rice noodles) in the summer. The banh mi is also great. Hey the iced coffee and order it early because it takes a long time to fully drip. Don't forget to look at the lunch specials, the menu can get confusing but easily translated. There's one English speaking staff member. Gets really busy during lunch. Indoor seating only Cash, Credit accepted staff speaks some English Takeout available ”

“ Really nice, low-key Vietnamese place right near Koenji station. Great lunch special with a lot of things included. The entrance can be a little hard to find, but if you enter the building there's a lot of other restaurants there with open seating. I'll definitely be back!! ”

“ I love the place! Been to other Chopsticks’ branch but this one definitely has more menu. But there’s no dessert though. The place is located inside an old building, but it tastes even more home made. I tried the Vietnamese gyoza for appetizers, then pho for main. Really like the pho as it is fresh pho! ”

“ I have been here billions of times and never disappointed dishes. If you want delicious food but with reasonable price, this is the place to go! I also recommend to order homemade ginger ale which is no longer on the menu. ”

“ A great, hidden-gem for when you crave Vietnamese food. I arrived in Koenji not feeling too grand, craving a bowl of comfort. Thanks to Google Review I learnt about Chopsticks and able to find the place despite its inconspicuous location. Do not be deterred, you can find it - head to the North Exit of Koenji Station, turn left when you see the fresh produce market on your left, walk on pass the croquette stall (pass the temptation to fill your stomach for now, you can buy it later), watch out for the entrance of the food court on your right with the green signage, slid the door open, head straight in, and you'll be there). They serve fragrant bowls of pho (I ordered the chicken, before I saw that they have chicken and tomatoes! ), selections of bahn mi and cooked rice dish. They also offer lunch set (several combination of half-half portions) which I hope to try the next time. ”

“ If Vietnamese food in Vietnam was a 10, this place is a solid 7.5 or 8. The flavors are authentic enough to enjoy a little break from Japanese food. The staff is friendly and the prices are decent. The place is located inside a lively restaurants area. It's a place I always go to when I'm in kōenji. ”
